Riemann Revived

This month's conference on Langlands and QFT has naturally drawn some attention. Matti Pitkanen has some comments. Louise Riofrio and David Ben-Zvi (one of the speakers) have been taking notes. Louise points out that Witten is interested in four dimensions, but according to Ben-Zvi's notes from his talk, Witten said it was natural to look at six dimensions (think twistors), or at least four, but for the talk he focused on two.

Admittedly, I can't make that much out of Ben-Zvi's notes, and I'm sure that's not his fault! Here's a link to Frenkel's helpful paper.

The number theoretic braids at light-like partonic 3-surfaces could be also interpreted as orbits for the ends of space-like braids and thus they define a dynamics for space-like braidings.

The orbits of space-like braids 2-D surfaces which can get knotted as codimension 2 objects in space-time. Perhaps topological QFT for 2-knots could integrate with TQFT for braids in TGD context and provide new ideas about physics of Langlands correspondence. The generalization of imbedding space (hierarchy of Planck constants) provides also a realization of anyon physics.

For more details see a discussion of some ideas related to topological quantum computation in TGD Universe.

With the conference over, I have time to review 6 pages of Witten notes. "Start in 4 dimensions, today in 2-d, 4-d or 6-dimensions" Witten said. He said it was most natural to start from 6 dimensions or at least 4. Sergei Gukov's talk, which recounted Witten's latest work, used only 4 dimensions. The post on this will be finished soon. Perhaps my notes should be put online too?

Yes, why not put your notes online, Louise. Many people could then benefit from them.
